OUTREACH
Our Outreach Ministry is taking the Word of God to our local community through evangelistic efforts and hands on mission work. As we grow in faith, we become more intentional about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others.

SHEPHERD'S FOOD PANTRY
The mission of The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is to provide the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by providing food to the hungry and needy. This is accomplished by identifying needs. The services are provided without discrimination. It is our hope that those who receive food will be strengthened in body and soul. |

ANNUAL CAR SHOW
Each year BVLC hosts a car show in our South parking lot. It's a pretty casual event. There is no judging or awards. Anyone from the community is invited to bring in their classic cars to show them off and share the stories of their love for "that" car or for cars in general. The rest of the community is also invited to see the cars and enjoy a great day. Lunch is provided to exhibitors. Face painting and balloon animals seem to be a favorite for the kids. Check out the most recent flyer below...
LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League)
Since 1942, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ and encouraging activity in missions, both locally and globally. In addition to offering the opportunity to do mission work while enjoying fellowship with other women…we also have fun.
All women of the congregation are invited to attend the meetings and to participate in any of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) projects. These projects are: Prayer Shawls, Quilting, Shoe Box Ministry, Bear Ministry, Lutheran World Relief School kits.
We have four events/meetings each year. After a business meeting, the secretary's report & treasurer's report will be sent out to all the members by e-mail, or a copy will be put in your church mailbox. Be sure to check back here for updates for things that are happening.
Co-presidents: Fern Svehla & Marlys Rustman
Co-secretary: Diane Turner & Susan Coon
Treasurer: Paula (PJ) Kehoe
If you have any questions please contact the Church Office or one of the officers through the Church Directory.

SWAP (Sealed With A Prayer)
SWAP is an outreach ministry. Members gather on the First Wednesday of every month from 9:30am to 3:00pm to craft beautiful cards for all occasions. Cards are then sold, and the proceeds support various mission projects. We also make cards to be delivered to nursing homes and other residents who are not able to shop for cards themselves or cannot afford to buy them. We do other special projects including greetings and projects for mission trips, military and Meals on Wheels. Our team leader is: Betty Deppeler . |
There is a table outside of the church office with cards for sale. Please help support this outreach ministry.

QUILTS FOR THOSE IN NEED
PROJECT CONNECT
Bring hope to your community through Project Connect — an indispensable, on-site, booklet ministry resource that uses a display (Rotating Booklet Stand) of pocket-sized, topical booklets to promote outreach. There are also some booklets for equipping your congregation's members to share their faith. Each of the more than 50 booklets available is written from a Christian perspective and addresses a variety of topics, from forgiveness and the after-life to depression and anger management. |
