The purpose of the Outreach Team is to take the Word of God to our local community through evangelistic efforts and hands-on mission work. As we grow in faith, we become more intentional about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others.
There will be eight people engaged in Outreach discipleship for 2010. We plan to share our Christian love with 150 people. In order to accomplish this goal, we will have a number of activities. The creation of a comprehensive church brochure will be done that will describe our Christian doctrine, our worship services, our congregation services, our congregation care activities and the staff responsibilities. A DVD will be made to supplement the brochure.
There will be at least three Net Fishing events conducted in 2010:
1. Dr. Paul Maier will conduct a seminar on April 17. This will be free to the public.
2. We will organize and conduct three Wii tournaments for children between the ages of 10 & 15.
3. A Food Pantry will be created to help feed the needy-This is quickly becoming an actuality with an opening planned for December 11, 2009.
All of these activities will be designed to bring people from our community to our church to share the care and love of our congregation.
